This is a parody interview that a funny sketch comedy artist filmed. If you watch enough streetfights caught on tape you’ll know what this dude is talking about. I know my readers will appreciate this clips if anyone does.

Just a reminder for you all, tonight is UFC Fight Night on Spike TV. This is free UFC and it looks like there’s going to be some good bouts. You’ll recognize some of the fighters from the Spike TV reality show “the Ultimate Fighter”. At least the writers strike can’t stop MMA.

Here is a video clip of a small stature woman using a knee strike to the face to knock out a man in a gymnasium. I don’t know if she had a reason to knock him out but she really fires the knee effortlessly, she probably had trained it. It really goes to show what a devastating strike a knee strike can be. • Joe Stevenson vs. BJ Penn
• Fabricio Werdum vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
• Jess Liaudin vs. Marcus Davis
• Wilson Gouveia vs. Jason Lambert
• Jorge Rivera vs. Kendall Grove

This is going to be a lightweight title match for Penn and Stevenson because Sean “the Muscle Shark” Sherk tested positive for steroids. (more…)

It looks like we have a new martial arts show on the discovery channel called “Fight Quest”, so set your DVRs. I haven’t had a chance to see it yet but it seems a lot like The History Channel’s “Human Weapon”, but who cares? If you train in martial arts you can’t get enough of these shows. It also looks like they’re going to cover Krav Maga which is always good. (more…)

Like I wrote in a previous post the National Geographic Channel is bringing back their show “Fight Science”, which is great for us fight / martial arts fans, because the last shows were stand outs. They just posted the preview video on their website NationalGeographic.com. This episode is called “Fight Science Special Ops” and this time they put Navy Seals, Green Berets and Israeli Commandos to the test. (more…)

One thing I really hate is when fight scenes in movies are unrealistic. I don’t mean your basic kung fu movie; I mean movies that are supposed to be realistic and gritty, like the new Cohen Brothers’ movie “No Country for Old Men”.

Here’s a video clip of Bill Duff, host of the History Channel’s TV show Human Weapon getting knocked out. It looks like someone else beside the cameramen from Human Weapon was shooting this match.

He’s fighting a Champion Taekwondo fighter when he gets caught with a spinning heel kick to the head. The funny thing about a Taekwondo match is that it’s really the furthest thing from a real fight; it’s really about who ever can kick the other one in the head first. (more…)

This is a video clip from a Duke Roufus Muay Thai instructional dvd. I would have to say his dvds are some of the best. Duke is a world champion kickboxer and a trainer of champions. Plus he trained “Shreech” from “Saved by the Bell”, and if he can help that dude he’s a master trainer. Duke was also a color commentator for K-1 in America. (more…)
