Danzig Gets Knocked Out
This is a great clip of sort-of-rock star Glen Danzig starting a fight, then getting knocked out. He’s discussing the band line up with a guy, then gets mad and shoves the guy. The guy comes back with a haymaker and lays Danzig out. What kills me about this is, what did Danzig think the guy was going to do after he shoved him? Did he think, “I’m Danzig, the dark lord of rock. Who would dare punch me?” Knocked out by his own ego.
If you watch, as the guy is firing off the haymaker, Danzig’s left hand comes up to either punch, shove the guy again, or do some sort of defense. You will also see Danzig lift his chin up as the punch is coming in, like he wanted to catch it with the button. Needless to say Danzig needs to cut back on the weight lifting and spend a little bit of time on his 360 defense. And keeping his chin tucked.
The best part of the clip is watching some Danzig groupie cussing out the guy and yelling, “Cheap shot, motherf@#ker”. Of course, it was anything but cheap. The guy was standing right in front of Danzig and just got shoved, but I’m sure that’s not what she told all her friends.
