Krav Maga 411

Fight Science Special Ops

Posted in Martial Art Techniques by Steve on the January 10th, 2008

Like I wrote in a previous post the National Geographic Channel is bringing back their show “Fight Science”, which is great for us fight / martial arts fans, because the last shows were stand outs. They just posted the preview video on their website NationalGeographic.com. This episode is called “Fight Science Special Ops” and this time they put Navy Seals, Green Berets and Israeli Commandos to the test.

One of the things they are doing as you can see from the preview clip is testing a Navy Seal named Stew Smith. They “test” him by submerging him in a giant freezing take of ice cold water for an hour, and then make him run an obstacle course then fire a paintball gun at a live “enemy”. This is probably the most amazing thing ever, the Navy Seal fires two shots, one hitting his opponent between the eyes and the other hitting him in the hand which he was holding the center of his body. Incredible, but I guess that’s why they’re the elite.

This episode will also feature Amir Perets, 4th degree Krav Maga black belt and former trainer for the Israeli Special Forces.

Glad to hear they’re going to feature Amir and Krav Maga on this show. The last Fight Science was really interesting, I watched it with my dad.
