Rob Kaman Low Roundhouse Instructional

Posted in Martial Art Techniques by Steve on the November 15th, 2007

Here’s an instructional video clip of Rob Kaman training his famous low roundhouse kick. He has his training partner place a kicking shield on his thigh and move around to train timing and distance. He uses both his right and left leg to kick. When he kicks with his left leg he does a “switch foot” to make his front foot his back foot and give it power. This is one thing that make Muay Thai kicks so powerful, the ability to make the front foot the back foot.

I would so hate to have to hold the pad for Rob Kaman, you can see his training partner wince with every kick.
