UFC 80 Penn vs Stevenson
UFC 80 is two days away so I hope you didn’t make any plans for Saturday. It’s a good line up:
- Joe Stevenson vs. BJ Penn
- Fabricio Werdum vs. Gabriel Gonzaga
- Jess Liaudin vs. Marcus Davis
- Wilson Gouveia vs. Jason Lambert
- Jorge Rivera vs. Kendall Grove
This is going to be a lightweight title match for Penn and Stevenson because Sean “the Muscle Shark” Sherk tested positive for steroids. Is anyone really surprised that he uses steroids? He’s a “muscle shark” after all. Every time I hear his nickname I have to laugh. I get the shark part because it rhymes with Sherk, but why add “Muscle”? He couldn’t just be Sean “the Shark” Sherk? I can just picture him saying “I’m a Muscle Shark, dammit! I have more muscle than a normal shark.”
I know every one has Penn to win and he might very well do so, but I got to say I like Joe Stevenson. He has a real sincere way of talking and seems like a good guy. I always root for the guy that seems like less of a jerk, or in the case one of the fighters is way older than the other I always root for the old guy. You just got to hand it to a guy that hangs in there past his prime.

Maybe he his name should be Sean “The Jerk” Sherk.
